Georgis & Mirgorodsky

Georgis & Mirgorodsky has designed and completed numerous residential, institutional, and commercial projects in the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. These include new houses in Southampton, New York, the Bahamas, Montana, La Jolla, California, many New York City townhouses, a pied-à-terre for a South American couple at the Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan, the Tiffany Gallery at the Museum of the City of New York, Casa Lever restaurant in Manhattan, the interiors of a Gulfstream G650 jet, and the renovation of the public spaces of the landmarked Lever House in New York City. In addition the firm has completed the design of Manhattan condominium projects at 350 West Broadway and 530 Park Avenue, and completed designs for the Gramercy Park Hotel. In 1999, 2007, 2010, and 2013 Georgis was included in the AD 100, Architectural Digest’s international guide to the top one hundred architects and interior designers. A monograph of Georgis's work Make It Fabulous: The Architecture and Designs of William T. Georgis was published by The Monacelli Press in 2013.
With a staff of twelve, Georgis & Mirgorodsky is currently working on houses in Southampton, La Jolla, California, Aspen, an apartment at the River House in Manhattan and numerous Manhattan townhouses.
Prior to establishing the firm in 1992, Mr. Georgis was an architect for Robert Venturi of Venturi, Rauch and Scott Brown, Philadelphia, and was Associate Architect for Robert A.M. Stern Architects from 1984 to 1992. At the Robert Stern office, he designed the winning entry, and supervised to completion of the Norman Rockwell Museum at Stockbridge, Massachusetts. He is also responsible for the design of the Roger Tory Peterson Institute for the study of natural history in Jamestown, New York.
His work has been exhibited at the National Academy of Design and Columbia University, New York; and his work is included in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; The Art Institute of Chicago; and the Denver Art Museum, Colorado.
William T. Georgis is a graduate of Stanford University, Stanford, California (B.A., 1980) and Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey (M. Arch., 1983).
